Camille Schiess Violin

Hailing from the beautiful city of Santa Barbara, California, Camille Schiess is a sought after violinist, fiddler, and teacher in Austin, TX. Her incredible gift to explore many different styles and genres as a violinist has given her the opportunity to perform in an incredibly diverse array of settings, from the concert hall of the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra, to local ATX Music Festivals. In 2017, Camille soloed with the Austin Civic Orchestra as a winner of the Texas Rising Stars competition, and in 2019, she performed with the Roots on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Camille plays with the band American Dreamer, a local Austin folk band. Check them out here!

As a teacher Camille, strives to provide a supportive environment for her students to have fun and explore their love for music. Along with her work with Goodland String Studio, she serves as the violin instructor for the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’s Beyond the Classroom after-school elementary program. Camille also had the incredible honor to work under the renowned violin pedagogue, Dr. Laurie Scott, at the University of Texas String Project from 2015-2018. 

Camille received her Bachelor’s in Music in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015, and her Masters in Music in Violin Performance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. 

 

Tony Mariano Guitar

Tony Mariano is a guitarist, educator, and a community servant in Austin, TX. His love for music has driven him to a life of teaching and sharing with his community.  He believes that music has the power to bring people together, to teach life lessons, and to heal the soul, and he takes tremendous pride and pleasure in sharing his art with the members of his Austin community.

Tony has served as the Director of Guitar at the University of Texas String Project since 2015. Tony also works closely with Austin Classical Guitar, the largest non-profit of its kind in the world. There, he works as a partner teacher directing the ACG Community Ensembles, teaching in Title 1 school programs around Austin, and engaging in outreach with Dell Children's Hospital. Tony is incredibly honored to have worked with such wonderful students of all ages throughout Austin, some of whom have gone on to attend some of the nation’s top collegiate music programs.  

Tony received his Bachelor’s in Music in Guitar Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015, and his Masters in Music in Guitar Performance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral in Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin where he served as Professor Adam Holzman’s Teaching Assistant.
